Intro Generative AI is getting more accessible to the everyday person. I did not play with the prompt until recently. I paid $20 for a 1 month subscription with ChatGPT4 since they integrated DALL-E (image generator) and I wanted to share my findings. This was certainly worth the amount I spent. I had a lot of fun to see how capable ChatGPT in it’s current state is. And it is only going to get better....
I would like to say that if this article is too long, I would suggest buying Breville or Sage Bambino Plus combined with a Niche Zero as one of the min-maxing for ease of use, quick startup, and features in making espresso. TLDR: Buy Breville or Sage Bambino Plus as your Entry Espresso Machine. The Grinder matters much more than the Machine/Brewer. Intro You might be thinking to yourself that after getting lattes at Starbucks or similar, that maybe it would be easy and cheaper to make it at home....
Life is all about choices and variety. Having been through the experiences of making espresso and latte, I became even more picky about the coffee I would drink at coffee shops. As a safety measure, I would opt for tea based drinks. One of them was the London Fog. It tasted very good! Curious, I looked up recipes online to try to replicate what I had at the shop, and on the first try it tasted halfway decent....
The xBloom is a device that seems to be pitching Keurig, but using whole beans coffee. Keurig / Nespresso and similar use ground coffee in a pod for the machine to inject water through to generate the coffee. This is fine, but the coffee it produces is not the best. The better coffee is ground fresh before brewed. That seems to be the approach that the xBloom device is taking. It has a grinder and a brewer to reduce the amount of steps the user would need to perform....
The Gawoody Motor Kit is a way to make your hand grinder electric. Currently Gawoody produces two models for two specific grinders that are prolific on the marketplace: Comandante C40 and 1zpresso K Series (Pro/Max/Plus). There are plenty of motorizers for the C40, but I have only really seen two for the 1zpresso K series. I myself have the 1zpresso K Pro. I was very hesitant due to the price. A 1zpresso K Pro/Max/Plus costs ~$209 / $240 / $260....
This is a rather interesting way to make Filter coffee. Based on the method of Scott Rao’s Filter detailed here. Churls created an adapter to fit a 51 mm IMS basket to the Aeropress to mimic this method.
