Intro
Generative AI is getting more accessible to the everyday person. I did not play with the prompt until recently. I paid $20 for a 1 month subscription with ChatGPT4 since they integrated DALL-E (image generator) and I wanted to share my findings. This was certainly worth the amount I spent. I had a lot of fun to see how capable ChatGPT in it’s current state is. And it is only going to get better.
The Premise
I wanted to see if I could more or less generate an anime using ChatGPT. TLDR: I thought it was a success. I gave prompts to ChatGPT and captured the results below. To give context to someone who has not heard of ChatGPT or does not know what it is, I asked it to explain itself.

It came out rather nice!
The title of the anime looks very similar to something that could potentially exist at this point and time. The poster itself has all the elements that I would expect in an isekai (reincarnation) style anime. To make it more real, we just need an overall plot summary for a Season 1. There could be more seasons, but initially I was thinking of a self-contained 1 season show.

Thoughts and Conclusions
This was simply amazing and mindblowing. I really liked how the coffee subject was incorporated into each of the typical stereotypical scenes. Iced Coffee Lake. The main villain being Decaf. For the amount of work that was put in to the end result generated. It is low effort, high reward. This is already a very nice baseline to start with and can eventually be tweaked to personal preferences.
Things Of Note
I can see that the words in Generated AI images are still not exactly correct. If looking at the cover poster, some letters are missing. But the overall picture, tone, color, characters, archetypes and stereotypes are all there.
Also, the image creation does not keep track of features. At least it is not yet smart enough to do so. That may change when OpenAI’s Sora becomes more open to the public. Alex, the main character has great facial changes between episodes. That may partially be beacuse I let ChatGPT handle the character drawing. If I asked it for certain features on each of the image still, maybe the look would be more consistent.
This was an exercise to see if an anime could be created. I think it did. I felt like I watched the entire series by reading the response. I would have to see how Generative AI is used in the future.
